How it started
SourcingGPT began with a founder who knew this problem cold, a veteran of global sourcing who came to us with an idea and the background to know exactly where it hurt. We started with a prototype, the fastest way to put something real in front of the market and learn from it. It quickly showed us where to begin: finding the right factories was the obvious first win, the low-hanging fruit. The harder and far more valuable problem sat underneath it, automating the entire sourcing pipeline that follows.
The problem
Sourcing is still painfully manual. Buyers spend days hunting for suppliers, sending the same enquiries over and over, chasing quotes across time zones and languages, and trying to work out the true landed cost once duties and freight are added in. Finding a factory is only the start. The real work is everything after it, and almost none of it has been automated.
What we did
We took the prototype from something we were roadshowing to investors to a fully functional product now rolling out to thousands of users. It automates the whole pipeline: searching marketplaces and customs-backed data to surface verified suppliers, generating and tracking RFQs, comparing quotes side by side, handling supplier communication and negotiation in multiple languages, and calculating true landed cost with HS codes. We assembled a team that built all of this at a fraction of what the founder had been quoted elsewhere, and kept evolving the product as the market taught us more, including fully automated factory communication and a clear, feature-rich roadmap ahead.
How we work with them
Beyond building the product, we stay in as a fractional CTO. We take the technology weight off the founder, owning team management and recruitment and working through the constant back-and-forth of deciding what to build next. It removes a real source of headaches and lets the founder run the company while we run engineering.
The outcome
A working, AI-native sourcing platform rolling out to thousands of users, and a company that earned its place as Entrepreneurs in Residence at Antler Singapore. What started as a prototype for investor roadshows is now a real product that turns days of manual sourcing into minutes.
