The problem
Businesses that run on flexible or temporary staff live with constant scheduling churn. A shift goes unfilled, a swap falls through, a message gets lost, and the result is lost revenue and a stressed team. The tools most service businesses rely on are a patchwork of spreadsheets, group chats, and phone calls that break down at exactly the moments that matter most.
What we did
We helped build ServiceGaps, a unified scheduling platform that brings employers and staff into one shared view. Teams work from a shared calendar where open shifts can be claimed in real time, employees can request swaps that managers approve, and gaps are filled automatically rather than chased down by hand. The program also tracks wages and labour costs across the schedule and gives staff a transparent view of their earnings. It is built for hospitality, food service, retail, and healthcare staffing, the industries where last-minute coverage is a daily reality.
The outcome
A single place for service businesses to coordinate flexible staff, close coverage gaps faster, and keep both managers and employees on the same page.
