The problem
Sourcing niche or culturally specific products from abroad is harder than it should be. Buyers face expensive shipping, long backorders, and customs complexity, and often cannot get the item at all without paying a premium. Meanwhile, millions of people travel those same routes every day with spare room in their bags.
What we did
We helped build Marco Bazaar, a peer-to-peer delivery marketplace that connects people who want hard-to-find items with verified travellers who can buy and bring them back. Buyers post a request with their budget and timeline, the platform matches them to travellers heading the right way, and escrow protection holds payment until delivery is confirmed. ID verification, rating requirements, real-time tracking, and a community review system keep the exchange trustworthy, with transparent pricing and a choice of local pickup or home delivery.
The outcome
A community-driven way to access global products affordably, while travellers earn extra income shopping for others on trips they were already taking.
