The problem
In a globalised economy, organisations and professionals struggle to engage effectively across cultures, which hinders communication, negotiation, deal-making and relationship-building. Existing training falls short because it focuses on language and generic guides rather than the high-stakes cultural nuances that decide whether a deal succeeds. The result is missed opportunities, misunderstandings and, in many cases, failed partnerships.
What we did
We helped build CultureIntel, a cross-cultural training platform that goes well beyond text-based quizzes. It offers realistic, interactive business-deal simulations, strategy and negotiation sandboxes for culturally sensitive situations, and a generative-AI-powered group environment for multiplayer practice. Users receive personalised feedback and performance evaluations to track their development, draw on a curated library of cultural resources, and take part in a language-exchange model that rewards contributions to the community. It is sold through enterprise subscriptions, educational partnerships, and paid software integrations, with initial focus on Chinese, Japanese and Canadian business cultures.
The outcome
We equip businesses, students and professionals with the cultural intelligence to handle cross-border negotiations with confidence and build stronger international relationships.
